Americas Cardroom – Bad Beat Jackpot

All you have to do is sit down at a Bad Beat Jackpot table at Americas Cardroom. If you lose a hand of Texas Hold’em with four eights or better, you’ll hit the Bad Beat Jackpot and win big just by losing!

What is a Bad Beat?
A bad beat is when you lose a hand that, statistically, you really should have won. For example if you’re holding quad tens and someone else happens to hit quad jacks or anything better, that’s a bad beat. If you’ve ever played poker online or at a casino, you’ve probably been dealt a bad beat or have witnessed one firsthand.

Qualifying Bad Beat Jackpot Hands
• The bad beat jackpot is awarded when quad 8’s or better gets beaten
• Both Cards in the players hand must play in order to be eligible for the jackpot

Payout Structure
• 10% of the gross jackpot goes to the house
• 30% goes to the reseed of the next jackpot
• 30% goes to the loser of the hand
• 20% to the winner of the hand
• 10% is divided amongst the other players at the table

In order to qualify for a percentage of the table payout split the players sitting at the table must have played one hand where a contribution to the BBJP was made.

Overbet Poker – Bad Beat Jackpot

Bad Beat – Ongoing, 2010 (US Friendly)

On specially made ring game jackpot tables at Overbet Poker, 50 cents is collected from every pot which contributes to the Bad Beat Jackpot. As soon as a player has a big hand cracked, the jackpot will be won, with every active player at the table receiving a portion of the prize money! The player with the losing hand will pick up the biggest percentage, so if you have four of a kind in sevens or better using both hole cards, you should definitely hope to get beaten!

Bad Beat Payout Structure:
- 35% to the looser
- 17,5% to the player with the winning hand
- 17,5% to the other players who had cards dealt in the round
- 20% to start the jackpot again
- 10% goes to the poker rooms on the network

Rules for a qualifying hand
- Previously a hand would only qualify if both players used cards where in case of quads (4 of a kind) both hole cards needed to be a pocket pair. Fx. to make four of a kind with 9′s ou needed to have pocket 9′s and then two 9′s on the board. This is now changed so you only need one 9 in the hole cards the other three 9′s can be on the table but your other hole card need to be in play as the kicker so both you cards are making the best 5 card hand.
- Here is an example of a valid badbeat: The board is JJJTT, a player is holding QJ would quilify vs. a player with TT, since the Q is the kicker in play.
- Here is an example of an invalid badbeat: The board is JJJTT, a player is holding J7 would not qualify vs. a player with TT since the 7 is not in play as the kicker since the T on the table is higher.

Terms & Conditions:
- The losing hand must be at least a Four of a Kind 7′s
- The winning hand must be at least a Four of a Kind 8′s
- Both the winning and losing hands must include both hole cards
- At least four players must be dealt in at the start of the hand
- The hand must have generated jackpot rake (ie. $0.50)
- Two or more players must be active at the end of the hand, and it must go to showdown
- Players sitting out at the Bad Beat Jackpot tables are not eligible for the Bad Beat Jackpot
- Should two qualifying jackpot hands hit at precisely the same time, the jackpot will be awarded to the hand that began first according to Poker Nordica’s server time. The second of the qualifying bad beat hands would be eligible for the reseeded Bad Beat Jackpot.
- If there are two or more hands that qualify for the jackpot within one hand, then the two highest hands will be considered for the jackpot, with the highest hand being the winning hand and the second highest hand winning the bad beat.
