Software - good
The software is fairly basic and does not include a huge amount of customizable features. There are just two table styles with the default
being by far the best in my opinion. Tables are fully expandable and everything runs smoothly on an average PC or Mac.
Playability - very good
The table look is very simple with nice bright colours and clearly marked buttons and tabs. The chat and information box could be bigger
but is not a major issue. The poker lobby is also very clean and easy to get around. You won't spend hours trying to find your game here.
Traffic - adequate
BetOnline is not a part of any major network but does boast a thriving sportsbook and new casino for attacting players to the site. With the
poker room only recently opened, traffic is slower than the average room but picking up fast.
Support - very good
Very friendly, fast and reliable. With an online sportsbook that has been online for over 10 years, you'd expect good service and that's what
you get. There are many ways to contact support including a 24 hour online chat service. Cash out speed is good and without problem with a good
variety of deposit and withdraw options.
Summary - very good
BetOnline Poker is the newest addition to the US-Friendly sportsbook (online since 1991) and online casino. They are remaining steadfastly independant
for the time being and their speed of growth is all the more impressive with this in mind. At the moment, the poker room is very much an add-on to the
sportsbook but their are some good games available here and whilst the software does not have all the bells and whistles of the major sites, it runs well,
looks fine and you can expect more upgrades and features to be added as the room grows.
Ther are currently alot of freerolls running every day to attract new players. These games usually require no extra points and rake to join them and are
surprising decent games considering the usual donkey fests that these tournaments can inspire. So BetOnline Poker is probably not ready for the big time
players yet, but if your looking for a fun room with freerolls and plenty of low-limit games, then this could well be the place for you. One account gives
you access to the sportsbook and casino as well and it is very easy to transfer cash from one area to the other using the client "tansfer buttons".
Best of all, the site is open to all players at the time of writing!
Extra Information : Pop Points
POP points or Player Option Points are earned by contributing to real money raked hands and buying in to tournaments.
Raked Hands: For every 10 cents that you contribute to the rake, you'll earn 1 Pop Point. Please note however, when you are calculating how many POP points you've
earned, the maximum rake paid on any table is $3 no matter how big the pot. i.e.: If 5 people are playing at a table and each person contributes to the pot evenly
and the total pot is $50, then each player would have contributed $10 to the pot. Rake is then calculated at 5% of this so each person would have put 50 cents into
the rake. You earn 1 Pop Point per 10 cents in the rake. Therefore, 50 cents into the rake would earn you 5 Pop Points.
Tournament Play: For every $1 you pay in tournament fees you will earn 10 POP Points. These POP are calculated in $1 increments (rounded down). In order to earn POP
from tournaments the fee must equal or exceed $1. i.e.: If you buy into a $10+$1 Sit-N-Go tournament, once play commences you will earn 10 POP points. Re-Buys can
also earn you POP, so each re-buy into a $10+$1 tourney will earn you an additional 10 POP points.
You can use your POP points to enter into the weekly $500 POP2Cash tournament that starts at 5PM EST every Friday for only 100 POP buy in or our daily POP Freerolls.
Hit & Run Freerolls
Freerolls are running all day, every day. There are no buy-in requirement oe restrictions for most of the freerolls, however in some tournaments, re-buys and add-on are available.
Check the tournament lobby for more details under the "Tournamnent" tab. Standard terms and conditions for tournaments apply.
